This exhilarating performance recorded live at the Church Street Station Theatre in Orlando, Florida 1984 features Dottie West with special guests Freddie Weller and Tom Wopat. West was one of the most successful and controversial performers to rise to popularity during the Nashville sound era. Like her friend and mentor Patsy Cline, Wests battles for identity and respect within the male-dominated country music hierarchy were instrumental in enabling other female artists to gain control over the directions of their careers. West earned her first Top 40 hit in 1963 and was the first female country artist to win a Grammy Award for the chart-topper Here Comes My Baby. A string of hits followed, including a pair of number ones with What Are We Doin in Love and A Lesson in Leavin. She performs all these songs and more on this spectacular DVD.
I'm glad this has been posted but I don't like the fact alot of other songs that were performed on this show origionally have been cut out.
