I got the pink ghd from sephora and the cord started shorting out after about a year. It's an awesome flat iron, but it just sucks that I paid so much money and mine didn't end up lasting very long...I always seem to be really hard on all of my electronics though lol

There are 2 reasons. First is better quality parts. The CHI is made for professional use and as such there tends to be higher quality control than you 'sometimes' find with lower priced hair straighteners w w w . chionlinesale. c o m

I love my ghd i was worried at first because mine cost $235, plus $15 tax (i got the pink box set from sephora) and i seriously dont know how i ever lived without it....its the best flat iron you can buy hands down. it makes your hair feel like silk? i dont understand how but i dont care all i know is my hair+ghd=good hair day...wait isnt that what ghd stands for good hair day? ahaha idkkk :) it creates amazing curls too, i dont even have a curling iron anymore i use the ghd for all my styling
