Nice..........I've seen a LOT of these, and I really like this version.... it looks good and sturdy and not all flimsy. I'm going to attempt to make one tonight.
QUESTIONS:
1. What was the initial temperature of the one quart of water before you lit the stove?
2. What is the most alcohol (fuel) that the three ounce inner fuel holder FancyFeast can is able to hold safely with out spilling out upon lighting it?
Thanks for posting this!

Aye, 10 minutes is fast fer impulse engines, but 'ave yuh never heard of warp drive?
Yuh should see the lass I'm workin on, she'll surely buckle yer Heiny pot if the cap'n at the helm isn't watchin what 'e's doin!

Boil speeds exceeding 1 cup per minute introduce the Leidenfrost effect, where the steam bubbles form an insulating vapor barrier between the heat and the water. The water therefore never boils. I unloaded the usual 15 ml into two cups in 70 seconds (tight flame) with a new stove I'm working on. Though the water gets hot, it never boils. Instead the pot gets very hot, and when you swish the water around against the pot, the water hisses violently.

I think this guy's been hit by too many paintballs, lol.

Double you air holes, make sure your tin can stand goes inside the fuel and there is plenty of area at the bottom of the dish to transfer heat and boil it faster. Put an insulation barrier between the ground and the unit, and see if that doesn't outdo the supercat. ; )

Ask Tinny at MiniBullDesign what rhubarb is. Have a good one paint balling. Peace.

That's just a crappy old stove I dug out of a drawr.. I do have ones that will boil in 4.5 - 5 mins..
As for the video, what's the point? It could be doctored easy, you wouldn't belive it anyways..
certainly not the fastest, but remember it's boiling 32 oz rather than the 16 oz used in most setups.
