To be fair (and trust me that's hard), that applies to Blue Cosmos/Logos, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't apply to the Earth Alliance regulars. Sure, I bet the vast majority hate Coordinators, but in the end, they are fighting for what they believe in. It just so happens that what they believe in is very, very racist and involves genocide.

You're right about Terminal being too boring, and I wish they weren't so overpowered. Yet, I still think they're the least of the three evils. The DP worked on Mars because everyone agreed on that (while I really can't see why anyone would willingly submit to genetics...); it would have been unworkable - not to mention dehumanizing - on such a larger scale.

Well, he knew Kira would never go along with the Destiny Plan and wanted him out. Simple as that.
And... people fighting for what they believe in? Terminal and ZAFT, I'll give you that, but Blue Cosmos / Logos are horrible monster who slaughter thousands of innocents for the hell of it. They needed to be exterminated to the last man.
