  • Was the original distributor static?

  • @DemoFly No, it had vacuum advance. The biggest issue I was having, was finding a quality rebuild. I had some that were jumping and missing, one fell apart in the box, and another had a bearing go out in it and started squealing like crazy. I got tired of them, and tired of dealing with mechanical timing adjustments and mechanical advance. The coilpacks are smoother, and the car starts much easier. Timing is precise and 100% computer controlled. The distributor is 100% gone. Crank fired is rad.

  • Mine's pretty spotless too, but she's not a fan of smog testing!!!

    (I'm in California)

  • Ha! Mine would NEVER pass smog. That's why I love where I live. :)
