See Day, Dusk, and Pitch Dark Night flying + see assembly, lights installation. The pros and cons of this Extra 300 from Nitroplanes.com are also given. * IMPORTANT Remove battery after flight (remove wing), as even though there is an on off switch, the esc draws enough power to discharge the battery overnight, ruining the cells.

Fairly inexpensive for a 3D plane complete, I just had to have one.

Here are the specs.

Wing Span: 37in/940mm
Overall Length: 29.7in/755mm
Flying Weight: 18oz/510g
Wing Area: 14.6dm²
Drive System: Brushless Outrunner Motor (1050kv)
Servo: 4X 9g High Speed Micro Servos
Speed Controller: 25A Brushless ESC
Battery: 11.1V 1250mAh Li-Polymer 110V-240V Power Adapter
LiPo Battery Balance Charger
Control System: 4 CH Multifunctional FM Radio Transmitter and 6 CH Micro Receiver (Left hand throttle Mode II, 72MHz)
2 Propellers and Landing Gear
English User Manual
Radio Control Range: 3000 Feet (1000m)

Price $124.99

It even comes with an airplane pilot inside the cockpit!

Symmetrical wings allow this plane to do great 3D. Make sure to start out with lowest control settings and balance the plane. It is tail heavy as is.

I put the battery forward and added 1 oz extra nose weight to keep it from trying to snap roll when I pulled lots of up elevator.

I have since added a temperature probe to my battery, and ran charging and balancing jacks so I can reach them from the air hole on the bottom of the fuselage. That way, I do not have to take the wing off to charge the battery and if it gets too hot, my Thunder AC-6 charger will shut it off. I am constantly monitoring it anyway, during charge.

  • I called nitroplanes to see if they carried parts, and they said they didn't. I can't find any parts anywhere.

  • It is too new, I guess. Not much to break anyway, that superglue or hotmelt glue wont fix.

  • enjoyed it! thanks for making the video! keep 'em coming and I hope Nitroplanes and Hobbyking send you the planes for free, free toys are great!!

  • I have a dynam extra 330 the o-rings are what holds the prop onto the motor shaft use one o-ring for the prop. slip o-ring on one side of screw head stretch o-ring around prop over to the other screw head. That's what holds the prop on and no free spin. And yes it does hold tight. Make sure screws are fairly tight other wise motor could spin shaft under prop torque. Causing prop to fall or fly off motor shaft.

  • @trizzo5: The instructions are incorrect. What you have is a "prop saver" - put the prop on the motor shaft, then stretch an o-ring over it across the 2x nuts and that holds the prop on. In case of crash, it pops off to limit damage. Good luck!
