Filipino Catholic Clubs on O`ahu take the 100% Mammogram Challenge to increase mammograms for women 40 years and over.
This is a partnership with the National Cancer Institute's Asian American Network for Cancer Awareness, Research and Training; American Cancer Society, Hawai`i State Dept. of Health, Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Programs, and the Filipino community.
Filipino women use their kinship, social, cultural, and professional networks to address breast cancer disparities by increasing mammograms. Early detection of breast cancer can help to save lives in the Filipino community.
