My fan was making a lots of noise (defective), making it very hard to have in class. I got an app to shut it down, but then I was dealing with overheating issues. So I bought a new fan from eBay, and installed it. I put in some more ram while I was in there so that I could upgrade to Windows 7 without any problems (which I have now done - works GREAT!).

So, here is the video, sped up by 300% for your enjoyment and benefit.

Music: Everlasting Word Band (used with permission)

The first song is an adaptation of Psalm 2 from the Genevan Psalter, composed by Goudimel (1550's), arranged by Doug Wilson (2001), and then re-arranged into the current format by the Bayly's @ Everlasting Word Band

  • is that work for acer aspire 7745G ??

  • @011145828 Probably

  • Is it not possible to change the fan by just pulling the bottom cover off and not removing the keyboard?

  • @daverbmxer Nope! Not on THIS netbook. Some of the newer one's allow you to take the bottom off at the very least to access the ram. This was bad planning on Acer's part. You have to take it apart to do anything to it.

  • Hi there! I have exactly the same problem, what fan model did you buy on ebay, since it looks that there are many different ones for acer aspire one...

  • @letynoname Forgot the exact model name, but you can find it on eBay
