Nicola Fusati
1876-1956
Fusati was born Nicola Fusacchia. He first studied medicine. In 1904, he became the first surgeon at the Norcia hospital. While praticing medicine, he used to sing aria, his prefered aria was the Lohengrin aria.
Zaira Falchi, a retired singer and the head of the female singing department at the Liceodi Santa Cecila wrote about him in 1907 as a rara avis.
He made his debu, using Fusati as a stage name, on April 29, 1908 as Radames at the Petruzzelli in Bari with great success. His career evolved as follows:
