HS already did me a great favor with his Fall 1985 radio shows ripping NBC (after getting fired; boy, did they show him!).

This performance closely followed the recording and release of the album. I would imagine that voices are over taxed at that point but they sound good. The song was performed in a shortened version (probably for the tv time allowance) but I think the drummer and the Late Night Band was performing the song too fast requiring The B-52's to keep up and make it work. LOVE the fact that Kate bellowed out "Tin Roof Rusted!". She did a good job with it I think.

Wow! That was different! Kate did "Tin Roof Rusted" instead of Cindy....and the tempo was extremely fast!

it sounded a bit rushed. usually its a bit slower in tempo. guess it was rushed for tv time.

@kate28435 Hi, Kate; Thanks for the info. I guess Cindy had a cold, or sore throat, but trooper she is, still did the show. Drugs, yeah, right! Lady is as straight as they come, or so I've been told. Anybody who would suggest drugs and Cindy in the same sentence describing a performance is so addled they can not think clearly.
