KD: Custom character Quote from Cave Story

Cave story is another game I've played many times and I still intend to play it because it's a wonderful game.

I thought it'd be a fun idea to put Quote into this game and give him a Cave Story themed level. I borrowed the textures and music from the game and I made Quote's head myself.

This was also the first time I made any "pain" sprites for a character's head which you will see whenever Quote gets hit or sent flying.

Here's a random brawl featuring him and I made him unique in a sense I thought was appropriate for him.

Quote has below-average kick and punching power but he compensates for that with his good defense, great jumping power, and absurdly high weapon stat.

I gave him two weapon techniques and a throwing technique.

The AI isn't very good with him but he's a blast to play as. You can take opponents down very quickly with a trash can =)

Also I've decided not to cut out pieces from my videos anymore because I have to compress them afterwards and reduce the video quality further.

So for the sake of quality you'll be seeing small things like me loading the game and the menu after a battle is over.

There are a few endings, but the best one is where you fight the TRUE final boss. It's impossible to get that ending without a guide though, the requirements are very obscure.

Awesome video Leon! Cave Story is one of the best games I've played as well. sadly I haven't beaten it but there are a few endings (if thats true) I want to see.

there is a remix soundtrack of the game if I recall correctly. they're really great. ^_^
