how to do the fireball:

1. create a fumefx grid and put a sphere inside the grid

2. create a parray pick the sphere as the emitter for the parray and play around with the parray so it makes some particles; also add a wind and bind it with the parray

3. create a fumefx particle source and bind it with the fumefx grid

4. click on simulate animation in fumefx grid GUI and after render the scene

if any questions, put it in the comments

-----
also you may use vray as renderer instead of default scanline renderer

  • "also add a wind and bind it with the parray" <<<<<<<<<<< i cant see any parray...im make me crazy T_T!!!!!!

  • HOW TO PUT WIND OMGGGG T_T

  • Whats a parray?

  • Dude can you give me some help, im trying to use fume fx but my preview window wont allow me to see my simulation properly, its like its zoomed in the emitter and i can only see the center of it... I can fix this by setting my simulation area to ridiculous proportions or to zoom out to a very very far spot.. but thats not right, is there a way to control the area of visualization more effectively?

  • Wow, that looks great, the flame effects really are very nice.

  • that tutorial sucks dude

  • @wreks1 you bind it by adding the Parray to a "FumeFX Particle Source", then you add the "FumeFX Particle Source" inside the panel of "FumeFX Grid"

  • Hi there, Cheers for the tut! Doesnt look like I can bind the particle source with the with the fumeFX grid... Also, did you change any of the settings in the FumeFx grid?
