The original airing of season 1 had the old val voice, once season 2 came out with the new voice any future airings of season 1 had the new voice.
I prefer the old val voice, but the new one is fine too.

val voiced confused the hell out of me when i read about the show online. cuz everyone said her of his voice changed. but i wtched the marathon a few days ago and 1.0 voice was the same as 2.0. then i saw a clip of 1.0 online and the voice was different before. more computer like. i guess in the marathon they edited out the old voice and put the one from 2.0

Actually, as much as I'd like more VAL, I'd be happy to wait a while for a 3.0. After all, that only means that a lot of preparation went into it to make it great. :D
