the larger drawing is my design, but the patterned background is taken (slightly altered) from a 19th century german engraver named Karl Klimsch.

Hey, Butt. May I ask what pen you use? I have a fondness for ballpoints when drawing, but I haven't been serious enough about it. Basically, the cheap pens I doodle with clump up and smear sometimes so I don't want to ruin an elaborate drawing that way. I saw your website and I really like the way your stuff turns out with that great mystery pen!! Thanks!

i use zebra f301 pens, but they also clump up and smear... all ballpoint pens do, so you have to wipe them constantly, keep a scrap paper nearby...you can see me doing it in this video. Ballpoint pens as a general rule are cheap and crappy === havent found a way out of that problem yet myself.
