This is a look at some brief video I shot as Hurricane Rita's left edge impacted the North Houston area in September 2005.

Though this was not a particularly intense storm for the Houston area, it was still pretty strong. At the time of this video, which was around 1am on 9/24/05, winds were gusting to approximately 50-65mph.

In the end though, we really lucked out with this one. It could have been much, much worse..

  • yea but the out lefted edge brought a lot of wind i was in katy at the time i remember as a kid my mom went to go smoke in the garage at about 8 and remember the garage shaking so bad
