A great song by Tim Hardin. If I look like I don't know the song, it's because I'm playing it for the second or third time. This version is patterned after both Hardin's own and Ramblin' Jack Elliott's. I prefer to imagine that Rod Stewart never recorded this.

If you sound this good after 2 or 3 times,

5 or 6 must get downright scary. Wonderful performance of a great song. Motivated me to find Hardin's version, which was truly a gentle and tender delight.. I like Stewart's version, as it was first recorded.  I think that he did it right for his voice, on that album, at that time.
