I grow up in the seventies listening and collecting vinyl Elton music and let me tell you one of  his best are Goodbye yellow brick road double album where this song comes from and the other one's Captain Fantastic and the brown dirt cowboy. now i think i've seen a video of all the girls.... in the Elton documentary classic albums , but i always ask to myself why Elton never released the promo video of Captain Fantastic (one of his best) too.

I grew up in 70's too, (50) and I still have my original GBYBR album as well as my Capatin Fantastic album & its wild cover art with all inserts, not to mention "the booklet" inside with its wild artwork-! thats part of what made albums so special, they very often were canvases. I have almost all the early EJ albums, including his very first from i think '68 or '69---bought back in the day and complete. I still have over 250 albums in my closet, someone will get a great collection some day.

i havent heard this song in forever. A station my mom used to listen to played this it always makes me think of riding in the car with her.

Man, mom must have been cool. isn't it amazing how songs can bring back such great memories.

This song is awesome!! You're right though, you never hear Sweet Painted Lady played and it's another awesome song! This whole album is just great! Harmony, Ballad of Danny Bailey...
