I have one q5. nice tool
but because of WinCE for some special kind of processor it is hard to find useful software.

listen mate we live in the UK and the Q5 is £318 on amazon and archos 605 4g is £118, so yes the Q5 is better but it costs alot more

Please, please ,please --- no one mention Archos. I have owned 4 gen's of those. They started out great, but that company has gotten SOOOO damn greedy. The last two units have been complete garbage and the company is taking no responsibility for their issues. This is not just a single issue -- it is common amongst their whole line. Look at this before you even think about an Archos.

Archos players are great but you can almost spend up to $499 to $549 because of optional accessories, plugins, and other items. Cowon PMP's ( A2, A3 and Q5W ) comes w/ everything out of the box. There is only one plug in ( that I know of ) the wifi plugin, but I think that it is free.

The Q5 does not have a DVR station, but enables you to record t.v right out of the box by plugging in AV In cables into the player. No widigets, no tv guide for easy recording, and no content portal. HOWEVER, that dosen't mean that there will never be those items listed in the future...

Well It really depends what you are going to be using it for. If you browze the web, like to play games, do e-mail, like touchscreens, & Windows, then I would go w/ the Q5. If you are just using the player for basic reasons ( music, video, photo, text viewing) go with the A3. About the Q5 though, the interface isn't all that well, & Windows CE 5.0 is a little outdated (came out in 2004).

Can some of you guys tell me which one to buy, the new Cowon A3 of the cowon Q5W ?? I really like the Q5w, but the A3 seems to have seems to have some nice options to.. it has a bigger codec pack for audio and video, it has more extended audio EQ and it has presets, The A3 also has lyrics reader and visual effects. Can someone advise me? thanks!
