What's it really like to volunteer with ex-prisoners? Basic Caring Community (BaCC) volunteers help ex-prisoners settle back into society and not re-offend. This is Tom's account of his volunteering experiences. Coming out of prison can be a frightening and lonely experience. The wish to 'go straight' can be very strong, but often the support simply is not there.
