Lol if you were smart enough you'd know that dogs need their nails trimmed. If they don't get them trimmed they can grow over and start to cut into their paw pad. Great video thanks for helping, I have been so afraid since cutting my dogs quick to ever cut the nails again.

you dog is calm my JackaBee cries and barks like he is dying if you try to clip a nail.

Thank you so much for this video, I had no idea how to cut the black nails and like others I cut the quick on my shepherd's nails one time, I felt so bad for her. Thanks again.

@alicephrontistery This is the best video for dog nail trimming. I watched several (wasted time) and still had questions. My dog has black nails like this dog, and now I feel more confident on where to begin the cut. Plus she is using the same clipper I have.

so if your dog is old and sick and cannot walk around and play a lot. you should let the nails curl under into their feet?

@kuwaizair actually i dont own a dog, i play with few pit bulls every now and then, and owned two cats in the past, thats all.
i was just saying, i think one should let nature take its course instead of cutting the pet's nails

@SoldierCyfix you only say that because , as far as I know your dog lives chained to a tree or runs loose

your dog is so cute! She lets you cut her nails like nothing happens :D
I have to have two persons helping each other to get those nails cut. It seems like a lot of work! haha... but your dog is so adorable! ^^

I purchased this set of clippers at Wal Mart. I have other brands of clippers but the Wal Mart clipper seems to do very well.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
i dont think you should cut a dog/cat nails..
unlike us, there is no dog fasion code that must be followed, and its unnatural to have cut nails
thats just IMO

The over grown nails cause the foot to become arthritic and painful. Nails caught in carpet or flooring can be pulled off and cause pain.

I liked the way you explained how to cut dark nails, to look where the shiney nail ends and the dull nail begins. Clipping dark nails was a guess thing for me. I could do the while nails fine because I could see the quick. Thanks for the info!
