Metal sucks

This video is an opinion! O-P-I-N-I-O-N! I find it PATHETIC that I actually have to say so, but but people feel the need to state the obvious for some reason. This is my opinion. What's yours? Let's have a discussion.

Okay, people are having a hard time understanding what music I'm talking about here. I'm not talking death metal or metalcore or any specific genre. I'm talking about generic, same-sounding metal bands that refuse to sing. I don't take the labels seriously, and neither should you. They're just adjectives.

Yes, I know death metal started in the 80s. Yes, I know who Death is, and no, I don't have a problem with them. In fact, I respect them for being pioneers, and all others who've had a significant influence on the genre. It's people that play watered down copies of that music that I don't like. "All death metal is bad" is NOT the point of this video.

I am aware that death metal and black metal has different vocals. I'm also annoyed that each of those genres need the same vocals for every band in the genre. If you can describe a singer's vocal style in one word, then that's a major problem for me.

Again, this isn't about your favorite band from the 80s or 90s. This is about the metal scene in general as it exists today.

i disagree with this i think a lot of Death Metal is really really good, i hate deathcore and metalcore, and i hate when bands sound the same. but to me Death Metal is great and can sound different if it's good...i respect your opinion anyway, and BLACK SABBATH RULES!

Dude if u dont like its ok...but you have to respect the people that enjoy theyre music...ITS JUST MUSIC!!!...and you're saying it all sounds the same well 80's metal they all sound the same too..it's just a genre its the reason why it sounds the same.. enough said dude

@melodic6death Well, some of it did, but then it evolved. I'd have the same problem if everyone sounded like thrash these days. And really, it's evolved since I recorded this. More progressive metal bands are getting popular, and I think metalcore's on the way out. So honestly, this video's already a little outdated. If it make's you feel any better, I'm kinda bored with this thing.

Theres a video of a kid saying Rock, and Metal sucks...but you're doing the same about the genre I and millions of others listen to...which btw I do listen to Skidrow, motley crew, lamb of god, pantera...to me its something that im in the mood for.. No need to diss the genres just let it be.

What you should really complain about is Genres that dont make sense such as alot of Pop music idk ummm maybe take for example Chicken noodle soup watever u get the idea. Peace
