Butterflies is a feature documentary film following the lives of six young people that are prominent 'weblebrities' on the video site YouTube. The film explores the new media, its power and its future. Will the Internet overcome traditional media? Will new media and traditional media merge?
The film documents the struggles and successes of characters
Lisanova, Mr. Safety, Davedays, Boh3m3, Olgakay and Xgobobeanx and their hopes to become the new 'virtual' celebrities.
Also in the film: Fred, SxePhil, Charles Trippy, KevJumba, Kicesie, Paperlilies, KatiesOpinion, Daxflame, Joe Satriani, Esmee Denters, Whatthebuck, David Foley, Renetto, ClipCritics, Katy Perry, GayGod, Nigahiga, Chad Hurley and others.

This documentary feature premiered at the Action on Film Festival in Los Angeles in the Summer of 2009. It has travelled to festivals around the world and received an Award for Best Entertainment Documentary at Philadelphia First Glance Film Festival and the Alan J. Bailey Award in Documentary Excellence.
It was also nominated for the Best Social Commentary of 2009 by the AOF.

has similar story like jill....youtueb helped me get through my depression after i lost my aprtment house. i saw others and started making comments. then finally i got a camera and started vlogging for therapy. made some interesting freidns..lol
