Estimated less than 2000 individual left in the wild, the false gharial is one of the rarest and least known species of crocodilian. Similar to the gharial(Gavialis gangeticus) endemic to India, it has a slender snout. Once thought to be a member of family Crocodylidae, but recent studies show it is more closely related to the gharial of the family Gavialidae.

  • Its a beautiful animal and its a shame that we as humans are so selfish. We destroy their habitat, we hunt them for their skin or just kill them beacause of fear and no understanding.

Crocodilians play an keyroll in a ecosystem so if these animals are wiped out many other species will follow and it WILL affect humans as well. So sad we cant see all things as a whole.

    Sry for bad english
