If you are visiting Goa, India - don't miss the Goa Chitra Museum in Benaulim, a rich collection, that captures Goa and the Goan way of life as it used to be. This ethnographic museum is an excellent place where researchers, students and scholars can meet in a creative environment that provokes, stimulates and inspires. The museum is the single-handed creation of VIctor Hugo Gomes who 20 years ago embarked on a mission to collect, restore and preserve Goan culture, its traditional agrarian practices, tools, seeds, costumes and knowledge that were fast being lost to development and modernization.
