If you really wanna push your PC to the limit get Sony Vegas put alot of random shit into it and render it as .wmv with all the highest settings and after that you do like you just did and it will burn your CPU down! DONT TRY AT HOME ;P

Ha ha, I tried exactly what you said, and it rendered a 10 second clip, with all the maximum CPU eating FX in 45 seconds. I have a quad 3.5 GHZ no oc, AMD 970 phenom.

That's file processing dip shit. It depends on processing power, gfx card, and ram. The HDD is a fkn ROM, how the fk does it change the speed, except for file processing??

how efficient can two threads on one core really be, i mean is someone going to tell me that an i7 a 3ghz with four cores and eight threads can equal the power of my dual quad core mac pro? personally i think that threads don't make sense but i don't understand the technical aspect of it.
