Evil Angel - Severus and Hermione

**DH SPOILER** What if Severus Snape had survived? I have always been of the mind that Severus death was wholly undeserved. Wasnt his life horrible enough without its tragic ending? Maybe J.K.R. was emphasizing the point that all endings are not happy ones.well, point taken.

In the world of HP, Snapes death has always been a thorn in my side. If anyone deserved a happy ending (besides Harry), it was Severus Snape.

Well, Ive tried to give him one: In this story, HBP is canon compliant up until Severus gives his memories to Harry and the trio leave him, thinking him dead. **This is not shown in the video** After the Dark Lords defeat, and after viewing Snapes memories, Harry and Hermione (at Hermiones insistence) hurry back to the Shrieking Shack, thinking they will be retrieving Snapes body.only to find him barely clinging to life. The two of them rush him to St. Mungos where he slowly recovers; Hermione visits him several times afterwards and they develop a close friendship. Upon his complete recovery, The Ministry of Magic informs him that he is to be tried before the Wizengamot.. for being a DeathEater and for the murder of Albus Dumbledore. Severus tells Hermione, who is distraught when she shares the news with Ron and Harry. At Severus trial, Hermione is by his side as Harry presents the Wizengamot with Snapes memories, along with a select few of Dumbledores. He pours them into a Pensieve and the tale of Dumbledores murder is brought to light. Severus testifies to being a DeathEater-turned-spy for the Order, showing his Dark Mark to the Wizengamot. He tells a tale of anger, vengeance, of the lust for power and the terrible events brought about by his youthful ignorance. He also tells of what happened the night Lily and James Potter were killed and of his sworn loyalty to Dumbledore. After The Boy Who Lived adds his own testimony to Snapes, the Wizengamot clear the Potions Master of all charges. Hermione tells him: "You're free now...truly." Astounded at his newfound freedom (and publicly acknowledged innocence), he grabs Hermione, spinning her around in an embrace before, in a moment of pure abandon, kissing her. Afterwards, out of pure jealousy, Ron criticizes Hermione for her friendship with Severus. His crude insinuations that there is something else going on between them drive Hermione over the edge. She seeks out Severus for comfort, and although nothing happens between them, she realizes that she cares for him as more than a friend. Severus seems to come to the same realization, and since Hermione is technically no longer a student, he invites her to his quarters one evening, and bears his soul to her. Things progress from there as their mutual feelings are discovered and dealt with. ;) Severus finds his happy ending in the form of Hermione Granger; she loves him for who he is..not who he was.
