Does anyone know if Mae has a song book out of sheet music? I looked EVERYWHERE and I've managed to find just "We're so far away." I don't mind paying for it; I'm just having a hard time finding it if it even exists.
Thanks!

Man, this is incredible.
I am a pretty avid guitar player and i must say you make me wish i had the talent to play piano as well, If you actually read this could you maybe answer one question? What goes through your mind during those quick beatiful note runs and melodic scales? Is it the notes or the tempo or are you just listening to yourself play? I have trouble as a muscian visualizing long extended runs and they seem to flow effortlessly from you, anything you can advise to help with this would be invaluable to me.

Wow. I really appreciate the comment =]. Thank you.
Anyways to answer your (tough) question, whenever I play the piano, I sort of just listen to the music as I play. To me, the music makes me feel or imagine certain things, and I kind of just continue playing from there. Combine that with where my thoughts and feelings are prior to playing the song, and you get something different every time. However, this doesn't just come without practice. (more on the next post).

I'm pretty sure you know that a lot of time and dedication is needed to become great at something. You have to at least be proficient with the basics and be able to apply them effortlessly without thought. Now, when I learn a song, I of course learn its basic notes, melodies, and patterns; but then I also listen for the feeling it creates in me. After playing songs by ear for about 4 years, it's all become a quick process, allowing me to put more emphasis on emotion and creativity.

Well that is the best I could explain my musicianship. It's really hard for me to explain something that to me is based on feeling and emotion.
Now for some quick advice, stay dedicated to your music and have fun. While you do have to put some thought into the notes you play, don't let the thinking part detract from the emotion of the song. (I always have trouble with this when recording myself.)
I hope that helped. That's such a tough question to answer =P.
