Sacha Parkinson - A Boy Called Dad (2009)

Synopsis: When 14 year old Robbie's dad, Joe (IAN HART - HARRY POTTER, THE VIRGIN QUEEN), left home when he was a toddler, his world fell apart. Stuck with his mum and irritating sister, he was left angry, hurt and lost.

Yet when a clumsy one night encounter in a bus shelter gets classmate Leanne pregnant, Robbie (KYLE WARD) doesn't get the father he always dreamed of, but is instead stuck witha very different problem - a son of his own.

Determined not to let history repeat itself, Robbie snatches his boy and goes on the run. Pursued by the police, his family and Joe, he embarks on a life-changing journey that will ultimately prove what it really means to be a father.

@babytaratots I agree that she was good in it but to be fair I think those scenes may have distracted slightly from the purpose of the story. If you watch the movie it's more about the boy and his relationship with his father and son.

Sacha Parkinson is a very talented young actress. I hope she gets the credit she's due. For someone so young who seems to have appeared out of knowhere she seems to have been in quite a few things but has managed to keep under the radar till now. I hope her character in Coronation St will get her the acknowledgement she deserves. Her acting in this film is nothing short of brillient. I think she's an actress to keep our eye on.
