There is a theory out there, that it "doesn't take expensive professional photography equipment to take great photos." For those of you that have seen the FStoppers iPhone Photo Shoot, they show just that, taking great professional-looking images on an iPhone 3GS.

We wanted to add upon what they have already done and go one step further in proving this theory. So, we did an iPhone Photo Shoot tribute to the FStoppers.

But, for this photo shoot we have set some ground rules:
The Rules

1) iPhone Camera Only -- We are not using any additional apps or functions other than the iPhone Camera that comes standard with each phone.

2) Accessories Less than $30 -- We are limiting all additional photographic accessories to less than $30 each, and less than $100 in total for the entire shoot.

3) Non-Professional Model -- We are using our lighting assistant and friend Yoko as our model. While she is beautiful, she doesn't have any prior modeling experience.

4) Harsh Daytime Lighting -- We rescheduled this shoot to ensure that we didn't have any nice, photography-friendly overcast skies. We wanted to shoot in direct harsh sunlight so we can prove that this is possible regardless of the weather.

So, enjoy the video guys, and be sure to let us know what you think! To see all of the original and edited shots from this shoot. Please check out the photos on our Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/slrlounge

  • Where can i buy the two reflectors and the two assistants kit for 100 bucks?

  • @ilsk3n It just requires you to be resourceful, here is exactly what we paid for the shoot.

    2x Reflectors on Amazon = $60, 2x High School Student Assistants at $8/hr for 2 hrs = $32, Model = time for prints: Total cost = $92

  • To people complaining about post-processing... Can't you see the shots are amazing already before the editing? (I guess the first version of the photos is SOOC)

  • @LordRimoah Hehe, thanks amigo for lookin out =)

Yeah, tried to show the first version straight from camera really wasn't far from the post produced version... apparently there were many that didn't get it ;)

  • @sleepgolfer77 - you don't need Photoshop CS5 for those edits. ANY photo editing software will work, even $89 Photoshop Elements.

  • Thank you for allowing us to sponsor your shoot

  • @zdarovje @StereoBreedMedia definitely agreed.. I've been shooting for only a half year, and to say this is fake is obscured. They're great images to start out with right off the iphone, before and after photos show the original photo and processed. Hard to understand how you missed that.

  • @zdarovje there is no DOF in this video... Just blur thrown overtop the image. you can see that the blur spills onto her clothes sometimes and with "legit" DOF her clothes would be in focus. This isnt fake, and its not making the i4 camera better. It's really a beginners perspective to say that this video is fake because any photographer that has been doing this for 2+ years knows its not that hard to create these images with any camera...

  • Yoko is hot john Lennon is better !

  • Which version of the Iphone did you use?

  • 'Im sorry little pillow' That right there deserved a thumbs up :)

  • These shots are great but sadly overdone.

  • whats the music in this video?

  • fanboy defending his idols.

  • a reflector itself wont make the i4 camera better..... also it cant create huge bokeh&DOF which is seen in this video. fake&gay

got an i4 myself so im not hatin' IOS....

  • yoko is hot
