This Levitation Apparatus has been working for over a year without dropping its load.
It's very stable and can lift up to 500g loads.
It draws about 100mA @ 18V supply.
The coil is driven with a PWM signal, but needs no microcontroller.
The floating globe is about 15cm tall and weights about 300g. The gap between the Hall sensor and the object is about 18mm and can be somewhat adjusted.
