  • I think it was seattle where the turning point occurred regarding how "peace officers" view protestors as needing to be taught a lesson and relying on military tactics such as wire tapping, profiling, excessive force, and censorship against citizens to carry this out. For example: last week's RNC

  • I was not in Seattle. But I was arrested in Spokane twice in the 1980s opposing U.S. intervention in Central America. First we refused to leave Speaker of the House Tom Foley's office and then we blocked the entrances to the Federal Building. A 3rd time we dressed as a Salvadoran death squad to deliver Sen. Slade Gordon the "mano blanca", emblem of the death squads. On 5/4/2004 I was assaulted protesting the illegal US invasion, occupation and brutalization of Iraq. Solidaridad! David Brookbank
