I think of al the Austen Heroines, Emma grew the most in understanding herself and changing for the better.

@dancefreak1025 Yes, probably. They knew each other so well. Tied with them would be Fanny and Edmund from Mansfield Park. They also knew each other really well. They were completely compatible. Second is Wentworth and Anne because they understood each other so well. :) I think Jane and Bingley would have been a much happier couple in reality than Elizabeth and Darcy because they were much more suited to each other. Just the way I see it.

@LadieGreensleeves I read it's cause the American version showed the series in two parts so they needed to cut some parts to fit the time when they aired it on PBS. Only the BBC showed the full thing in 4 episodes.
