in 2000, todd helton lead the NL in hits with 216, in doubles with 59,in RBI's with 147, in batting average with .372, in on base percentage with, .463, in slugging with .698, in on base plus slugging percentages with 1.162, and in total bases with 405, also he hit 42 home runs, leaving him 8 homers away from leading the league and winning the triple crown. The reason i say this is because he finished 5th in the NL MVP voting, this is a disservice to undoubtedly the best player that year.
