Testing Lightstryder, a solar powered BEAM style walking robot I built. Lightstryder uses 2 super efficient MU915L escap motors, a master slave bicore, H-bridge motor drivers and a miller solar engine powered by 3 24x33mm solarbotics solarcells in paralell. robot can back up but doesnt have the antenna switch installed yet.
Its pretty cool to see it able to drag around up a slight incline the weight and drag of the test leads and the three solarcells wired in paralell.
@keithosmarferrer I searched and searched the internet a few years back and came across portescap's excess inventory page, which iI have not been able to find again, and they had a bunch for sale out of their Mumbai India division, So I bought about 20 of them! I'm saving them to make a walkman 1.0 when I get time from racing motorcycles or working...

Nice work!
Is it finished yet? Any chance of a follow-up video showing the finished solar walker?
Would appreciate if you could show a schematic!
How did you make it keep it's gait? Springs or stoppers?
