Hi there,
here is a trumpet warm-up, which I recently heard.
Perhaps, anybody can tell me what I can improve. I have just started with these deep tones, so do not bother, if it sounds not too good. Any recommendation is appreciated.

  • you can tell he has great tone

  • dove la trovo la traccia audio??? Rispondetemi

  • i can't believe i just wasted 3 minutes watching this.

you sound fine, you need no comments.

  • I have the more "classical" accompanying CD for this. This updated jazz version may be more fun. HOWEVER, the tempo of this is slower. I believe Stamp himself did the keyboard accompaniment to the "legit" version. He was VERY strict about the tempo and having students follow his exact tempos for maximum benefit, and they were apparently brisk. Long story short: just be aware you are not really following his method correctly here. That's all; maybe it will work for you.

  • While using just the mouthpiece, it helps to really take in a ton of air and put it to work for you. It seems to me that by the time you get to the pedals, it's really hard for you to hold the note steady because you're out of air. Take deeper breaths in from the stomach rather than from the chest like a lot of people normally do. If you do that properly, your shoulders shouldn't rise if you looked in a mirror.

    Best of luck to you.

  • stamp!

  • Sounds real good. You have a great sound in the low range with only using the mouthpiece.

The only recommendation I could make is - and this is just me, not any method - you might try arching your tongue on the ascending steps, and lowering it when the note drops. It sounded to me like you weren't doing that much. I think that would help minimize some of the lip movement on the single step notes, thus making it more efficient, and would help you fine tune the pitch with the recording.

    Nice :)
