Hi Sherri, could you please explain why the recommended amount is 60 grams? and what happens if you don't get this amount?. thank you. YOU LOOK amazing!.

I'd just add in a protein shake for breakfast of snack one time a day, for about 30-40 grams of protein. I've had RNY 8 months ago, but I still have a protein shake every morning for b-fast for 35-44 g of protein as I shoot for 80-100 grams of protein a day. Otherwise, it sounds like you have the perfect amount of restriction to me. The envy I have of lapbander's is that you have that tool you can ADJUST when you start getting hungry too frequently, or able to eat too much at a sitting.

I can eat 1/4 cup solid protein food just fine, but I can "feel" the restriction now where I hadn't really before. As long as I haven't had anything solid...liquid still flows freely, so I am thinking I will drink the jayrobb protein shake for breakfast (thanks Melissa) to boost that protein and then eat "normally" the rest of the day. I expect my band will loosen up in a week or so. That has been my experience with it thus far. Thanks so much for your love and concern! ~hugs!~ Sherri

@seemego2150 When I got that 1/2 cc, my surgeon and I both agreed that it would most likely be my last fill. I was hungry almost all the time..could eat probably more than a cup, but hadn't pushed it yet...and had stopped losing and even gained 2 pounds the week of appointment. I was still 10 or more pounds from goal...plus I want to try to get my BMI in the mid-normal range since I have a small frame, but I never intend to go into the low end of the normal range---believe me! @gastricRose Oh YES! I love greek yogurt. I haven't tried the fiber one, but could probably use it!

@cah237 Thanks so much! I'll have to try that!
Does anyone eat veggies??? If so, what kind? I never ever hear anyone talk about veggies!!

@RelaxxKiller I do eat vegetables, but my focus is always the protein. Because I eat protein FIRST, I may not get in alot of veggies, but that is why I take Bariatric Advantage Vitaband vitamins. As far as veggies go...I can eat broccoli if it is cooked to be really tender. I eat lettuce, tomatoes, etc. in salads occasionally, but I have to CHEW CHEW CHEW so that the "leafy" or "stringy" veggies don't get stuck. Veggies that I avoid are asparagus, celery, and your more stringy, fibrous veggies.

Hi Sherri: I love Melissa's video response to this vid. I couldn't have given you any better ideas. I sometimes use flavorless whey protein in my yogurt, ff mayo, soups, etc to boost protein. I'm wondering if you really needed the 1/2 cc fill? Hang in there - I'm rooting for you! HUGS ~Ann-Marie

@anewme1983 Thanks for the support :) I do believe I needed the fill. It is just that I have never really "felt" the restriction before. I had been pretty much restricting myself, but knew the band was working because I didn't get hungry between meals. I am eating good solid protein and still no PB or vomitting...or even stuck episodes, so I know I am not overfilled. It will loosen up in a week or so, I just want to get that protein in the meantime. This was probably my last fill :)~hugs~ Sherri

@butterflybegins just to clarify.. I wasn't getting hungry between meals after each fill...I was actually staying hungry before this 1/2 cc. Now I don't get hungry for 4-5 hours or more between meals depending on what I have eaten.
