The reason for the instrumental break in Light My Fire was to show the world these guys weren't just another pop band cranking out 2 min tunes but 3 incredible musicians. Think about it. There is very little vocals in that song. Actually, the song needs no vocals. That was the beginning. Now move forward to this song. IGNORE THE VOCALS, will ya? Just like LMF, the vocals are few. For 35 years, since I first heard this song, I believe this one closed their career.

I really like how this song shows that The Doors were a whole lot more than just Jim Morrison. Something a lot of people dont seem to understand.

@LashBridges You said it perfectly. When the long version of Light My Fire played on AM radio in spring 1967--it blew everyone's mind, with it's long, hypnotic instrumental interlude.

@piafounet , I got it from the "no one here are alive now" documentary, it's easy to find in any DVD shop.

@Mae77 I have got this dvd. I don't remember seeing much more than ten seconds of hello i love you. What i would like to know is : is there any video of the amsterdam concert without jim?
