We Need a New Sega Console

Like so many other hardcore Sega fans out there over the years I have thought about the what if's of Sega entering the console scene again. Even though competition would be even more fierce I truly think they could pull off some badass shit if they gave it a shot. After seeing the hardware under the hood of their current arcade units they obviously have that in spades and all their published titles as well as internally developed games are top notch. So what do you guys think?

Actually when you said alot of us grew up in 16 bit. I grew up when the n64 was about to start its faze out... um... faze. Yeah! I just like your videos and LOVE old games. DRAGON WARRIOR FTW!!! But yeah. I love oldschool and wish they would bring it back. It would be pretty sweet to have like a new 16 bit zelda, mario, metroid. Even stuff like 16 bit half life. It would be pretty sweet. But yeah Sega ROCKS! Never really liked them as much as nintendo just cause its like nintendo but SEGA ROCKS!

If Sega came out with a new console for the next generation, they would probably out sell the Wii u, Xbox 720 and PS4 based purely on the fact that they would have the appeal of a newcomer to younger gamers along with the appeal of a long awaited return for the older crowd. The success of the Wii in terms of console sales definitely demonstrated the power of a novelty in this market.

I`m a Sega fan but I think that they would not be able to make another console for future generations. Mainly because of the internal development teams. The great ones from the Dreamcast era are no more such as Smilebit and Overworks.

@popo237 There was no Donkey kong on Genesis so you cant use that as an argument...Now compare the Mortal kombats games for exemple....Huge difference!Genesis had better graphics.;)
