  • Yes, I restored everything myself except for the phono pickup which I sent out to a professional rebuilder. The rebuild was done over a period of a year.

  • If you look to the right, below the record being played, there is a motor with a fly ball governor on the shaft. Above the governor, there is a hub and tire which contact the outer edge of the platter when the motor tips toward the record at the end of the change cycle. Record speed is adjustable using a thumb screw attached to the motor / governor assembly.

  • Hunm how does the disk get turned or spun up.. I see a lot of disc platters, but how does the machine turn the platter? Very nice machine!
