I admit, I cried when Snape died. When I first read that he killed Dumbledore, I told my mom, "Everything nice that I have ever said about Snape, I now take back." That all changed by the end of the seventh book.

snape asked dumbledore to hid the potters and he did until the pettigrew toldwere they wore so thats invalid. if we take your approach then almost all the good characters are bad in a way and all the bad characters are good in a way

............ First of all, chill out. This is just a fictional character. Second of all, open a dictionary and learn how to spell. Lastly, seeing as how Snape delivered the prophecy, which ultimately got Lily killed, to Voldemort... lol I'd say that definitely puts some culpability onto Snape. ;)
