Attendees will learn the steps undertaken at UNC Charlotte to redesign Introductory Psychology into a 50% online course. The presentation will include how MyPsychLab was incorporated into the course, the challenge of refining lecture to one presentation per week, and determining what content is best presented face-to-face and what is best online. Data will be presented comparing the hybrid course to a traditional lecture format course for student performance and student reaction to the new format. The pitfalls and success of the course redesign will be presented.
