When making my reviews, I try to include everything that's essential to know about the outcome of the race. Well, there's just that much you need to know about the 1992 Hooters 500.
Every one of those laps that Alan Kulwicki pushed and pushed and PUSHED his way past Bill Elliott, just to lead by a bumper, meant everything in deciding the championship that year. As the laps wound down, and it became apparent it would come down to whoever led the most laps, it became more and more intense.
On top of it all, it was Richard Petty's final race, and (according to King Richard himself) "some little pipsqueak's" first race.
