Wasted

Alone without vision or moonlight. The dark
Is overwhelming. I'm cowering. I'm floundering. I'm stark
Naked. This place is beyond freezing. My shivering
Bones are Morse code, quickening. I'm withering
Away. I'm decaying. I'm rotting. I'm rotten
I'm blinded by the signs. All warnings forgotten
Thick cotton fills my veins. Down my neck drips dark stains
From my ears leak the liquefied remains of my brain
And I've gained no deep visions; only cell loss and fission
No keen insight. Division. There's pressure. There's tension
This calamity is passionately blameless. I'm tasteless
With each breath I taste death. I'm aimless. I'm wasted
