Opened January 11, 1961, the Throgs Neck Bridge carries Interstate 295 over the East River, connecting the Bronx and eastern Queens. This bridge is the main route for traffic between New England and points north and west, and Long Island. The bridge's towers are 360 ft. tall and the main span of the bridge is 1,800 ft. Including approaches, the bridge is approx. 3 miles long.

Last time i was on this some jackass had a matress blow off his roof and block off the entire right lane... Cars were screeching to a stop and almost crashing into each other. Then this dumbass was 1/4 down the bridge and trying to reverse back up the right lane!
