This is a second video of my Garrard RC-100 Turn-Over record changer. This video was shot with no records on the machine to provide a better view of the mechanism. There are several views if the inner workings showing the gears, cams and levers. This is really a remarkable record changer.

  • Quite a complex beast. Must've been a pain in the butt to adjust correctly.

  • Fantastic !! I have quite a changer collection. The oldest is a Collaro from 1936. The oldest Garrard, an RC 60. There are not many older record changers in New Zealand. It's great to see these machines preserved in museums around the world and in private collections. I wonder who designed the RC 100 mechanism and also who designed the many others of the various manufacturers? Thanks for posting this.

  • Thanks for posting. That machine is a real beast! It must weigh 200 lbs! I can't fathom the the phono cabinet something like this would be mounted in.
