http://www.scene-stealers.com Eric Melin and J.D. Warnock from Scene-Stealers are reunited in a moment so big it could only be eclipsed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet's first pairing since the record-breaking run of "Titanic" all those years ago. "Revolutionary Road" was directed by Winslet's husband Sam Mendes ("American Beauty") and adapted from the novel by Richard Yates. A depressing study of an unhappy married couple who feel trapped in the suburbs, it's about as far away from "Titanic" as you can get. See what Eric and J.D. thought of "Revolutionary Road" in this on-camera video review.

  • and because couples spend all their time denying the problems they face rather than TALK about them with each other EARLY and sweeping their truth under the rug for years on end rather than confront things, cope with the problems and deal with them openly with a clear joint plan for their joint life so people run into crisis and it all comes too late 2the surface. AND they sell themselves out to appear to be living the way society of their time EXPECTS them to live. like it did in this narrative

  • i don't think you have seen enough ~real~ marriages. stop deluding yourself. why do you think the divorce rate in western countries is nearly 50%? marriages all over are rife with problems. they were then and they still are now.

  • Loved this movie. It showed alot of truth into those so called perfect relationships. They both did AMAZING

  • This movie showed people all the gritty details. It was meant to make you feel... and I don't think anyone would enjoy sitting through it again. I was so miserable, watching them struggle and struggle. SO REAL! Anyway, as these guys said, the performances were extraordinary as both Kate and Leo are some of the most talented people in the acting business today. The did the maximum with the roles they were given.

  • The film Revolutionary Road is true to the book by the same title written by Richard Yates. In an article titeled "The lost world of Richard Yates" for bostonreview, Stewart O’Nan writes -

    Quote:

"Yates himself said in a later interview: "If my work has a theme, I suspect it is a simple one: that most human beings are inescapably alone, and therein lies their tragedy."

    Endquote.

That should warn everyone. Great review by the way, same director as in American beauty ... that figures.

  • Weird, corny, and boring review.

  • this movie was great. highly emotional and real. "life is pain" - farmboy

  • dem is bullers
