Vocal Gibbons

Two Gibbons having a good time at our local zoo. Very loud and and went on for ages!

actually, they ARE howler monkeys. gibbons don't have throat pouches.

They are Siamang Gibbons. They are part of the gibbon family genus and are the only sub-speices of gibbon with throat pouches.

these are the largest kind of gibbon in the world, there called the Saimang. there throat sacs amplify there loud calls for miles.
