  • I think you're referring to his impeccable accuracy with the fast melismatic passages; he is probably the only tenor to ever accomplish this, so don't be discouraged if you can't get the same type of separation between notes, Mr. Blake's technique is beyond human comprehension.

  • spettacolare!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • Thank God for your decision, sweetheart!

  • This comment is below par, sorry. "You just don't know enough ... read more and come back"- written to somebody you don't know is childish and ridicoulous. Although I like being addressed "darling, dear" (not too varied though), it can't cover the lack of real arguments. I won't waste my time with reading such stupidity and personalities, so the discussion ends here.

  • No it is not about opinions, darling. You just don't know enough, as simple as that. Read more and come back.

  • Don't overwork yourself dear. It's about opinions here. Mine is worth as much as yours. It's so simple.

  • Well you should pay more attention, then, and read Manuel Garcia. This is canto fiorito di bravura, not silly contraltino's glissandos. Each note is precise, with an overall electric and masculine effect. It is not about your opinion, dear.

  • Thanks for the advice, but I actually know several Rossini's scores rather well and stand by my opinion.

  • tehen162: What you mean by "coloratura" are roulades, in which every note is supposed to be stressed, not slurred over like Florez does. I suggest you something: get your hands on a Rossini's score, then you'll have an idea.
