National HIV/AIDS policies and programs must address the distinct needs and constraints of women and men but little is known about how to develop gender-sensitive responses.
One strategy is to mobilize key stakeholders representing HIV-related expertise from civil society, government and donors to form advisory groups that will produce recommendations and lead implementation. Dr. Lydia Mungherera is a member of the advisory group for Uganda.
