Ashokan Farewell on pennywhistle

This is a very lovely song that was used as the theme song to the PBS presentation of "The Civil War". It's slightly altered in this video to save your ears a lot of hardship. Though it can be played on the pennywhistle, my Burke in D gets pretty loud on the upper range so I never play it "correctly" unless I'm outside.

@ashleybethany In the tab it says a Burke pennywhistle. They are very expensive unfortunately.

Good job. What key of pennywhistle are you using? I've been trying to figure out how to play this song on a Dmajor whistle, and I can't quite get it.
